The Process
To achieve this unique look, we start with 6″ solid walnut flooring and infuse it with 1/4″ wide maple stripes. This meticulous process involves gluing maple strips onto walnut blanks before expertly molding them to perfection. Each piece of maple is precisely ripped to the appropriate size, leaving a 1/4″ maple strip on the face after the tongue and groove are milled.
The Advantages
Our innovative manufacturing process ensures that each piece of flooring not only retains the charm of a 1/4″ maple strip but also boasts a 6″ walnut plank. Additionally, we incorporate our tongue and groove profile with end matching, making installation a breeze. These flooring pieces can be effortlessly nailed down, just like standard hardwood flooring. To add the final touch, our nautical hardwood flooring is pre-finished with a low VOC matte finish, ensuring both beauty and sustainability.
